Bonita Springs Real Estate

The city of Bonita Springs has seen tremendous growth in the last 10 years, with a population hovering around 40,000. Incorporated in 2000, this Southwest Florida community is nestled between Naples and Fort Myers. It's home to a diverse class of residents from migrant workers and blue-collar families to retirees and the super-wealthy. Running directly through the middle of the city, The Imperial River offers a great environment for boaters, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts.

Reflecting the city's diversity, Bonita Springs real estate ranges in price from under $100,000 to over $9 million, for luxury estates. Lots and land are also available for building.

Because the city's growth is expected to continue, buying a home in Bonita Springs is considered a good investment. Low interest rates, second-home buying and a steady appreciation are keeping the market strong and steady.

Condos and townhouses in subdivisions such as Sandy Hollows and Imperial Pine range in price from under $100,000 up to $1 million or more for high-rise buildings with larger units.

Affordable single-family homes in Bonita Farms and Park Place can start under $100,000. Newer, Gulf-front estates in more upscale neighborhoods such as Barefoot Beach, Spring Ridge and Tangello Terrace can carry price tags well over $2 million.

The new community of San Remo offers Bonita Springs real estate starting under $200,000. Housing options here include townhomes, patio and single-family homes; most have lake views. In the private community of Marbella, carriage, coach or single-family homes range from $189,900 to $244,900. This gated community offers a 27-hole golf course as well as a fitness center, a tennis court and two dining areas.

Located off U.S. 41, the Promenade at Bonita Bay is a 10-acre shopping emporium with 16 shops, numerous restaurants, galleries and other services such as a dental center. The mall recently completed a 25,000 square foot expansion, costing well over $6 million.
